CHIEFS START IS STRONG FOR FALL 2008

Sept. 7, 2008 – Chiefs 10U Travel Softball opened the season against the LI Bandits. The first game was played to 4 - 4 tie. An outstanding job by Kayla S. on the mound with a complete game effort kept the Bandits guessing as some incredible defensive plays kept the Chiefs in this one. A leadoff double for Alexis K. resulted in a first inning run and the Chiefs first lead of the game. Catcher Kayla P. kept the bandits from advancing freely while going perfect at bat through the game.

EARLY STRUGGLES PROVE TO MUCH FOR CHIEFS IN SECOND GAME

Sept. 7, 2008 - The Chiefs 10U struggled to get back into the game after a quick jump start by the bandits. The final score of 16 – 8 was not indicative however of the overall play of the game including a late rally to show some great offensive character by the team. A last inning triple play turned by the Chiefs, started by second baseman Chrissy C. and with some assistance from outfielder Gia C., really got the team pumped up and looking forward to the next contest.
